Editorial introduction
Allocate the nights before booking a car
Seville, Córdoba and Granada form the city section. Ronda and Setenil join the longer trip; Cádiz and Jerez belong to a different western leg. Five days suit Seville with a Córdoba outing. Adding the Alhambra and white villages needs more nights and a look at flights home from Málaga.

Seville and Córdoba in 5 days, Granada from 7, Ronda from 10: counted nights, rail links, palace appointments and a short rental-car section.
Three versions with clear limits
The five-day version counts four Seville nights and three full days: two for Seville, one for Córdoba. Granada is omitted. Seven days give three Seville, two Granada and one Málaga night; the sole full Seville city day needs a clear choice among major interiors.
Ten days allow three Seville, one Córdoba, two Granada, two Ronda and one Málaga night. Car hire begins in Granada after the Alhambra day. The final Málaga night serves arrival and departure, rather than a full coastal holiday. The itinerary guide lays out every day.
Plan in this order
- Use the season guide to compare heat, climate averages and festival weeks. April and May can be expensive around holidays and events.
- Choose the route and airports, then check the Alhambra appointment. Area access can change; general admission does not mean every part is accessible.
- Book the nights and use the driving guide for rail, hotel access and the rental section.
- Separate rooms, transport, food and admission in the budget guide. Its example covers two adults and nine nights, excluding flights.
Atlantic coast or white villages?
Ronda fits the stated ten-day journey; Setenil is one village option from the second Ronda night. Cádiz lies on the other side of Seville. The Cádiz/Jerez guide uses two nights for city and beach or three with a Jerez outing. Adding it requires further nights and revised transfers and flights.

Andalusia trip questions
How many days do I need?+
Five days and four nights for Seville with a Córdoba outing. Seven days add Granada but leave only one full Seville city day. Ten days give Seville more time and add Ronda.
Can I travel without a car?+
Plan the city section around rail connections. The car enters the ten-day model in Granada for Ronda/Setenil; check the actual services for your dates.
When should I book the Alhambra?+
As soon as dates are settled, before nonrefundable Granada nights. Nasrid Palace admission has a fixed appointment. The Granada guide explains current area restrictions and ticket details.
Can I use the same airport twice?+
Yes, but the seven- and ten-day models finish in Málaga. A Seville return flight needs a return travel day or a shorter final section.
Can Cádiz and Jerez be added?+
Not within the stated ten days. Allow three nights in Cádiz including a Jerez outing and revise the route, transfers and departure airport.
Does summer work?+
Heat is a significant drawback for dense city sightseeing. Plan early visits, air-conditioned breaks and fewer stops; the coast does not guarantee cool conditions.
