Editorial introduction

Choose your coast section first

Antalya to Dalaman links Kaleiçi, Çıralı/Olympos, Kaş/Kekova and Fethiye. Dalyan adds river scenery and archaeology. Datça and Bodrum need a separate western plan. Choose airports and available nights before allocating beach and boat days.

Antalya to Dalaman, or a western journey?

Start with the 7, 10 and 14 day itinerary. One week links Antalya and Kaş with a return night. Ten days allocate nine nights to Antalya, Çıralı, Kaş and Fethiye, with departure from Dalaman. Two weeks add a third Fethiye night and three nights in Dalyan.

Use the western alternative from Dalaman for Datça and Bodrum. It also has thirteen nights but replaces Antalya, Çıralı and Kaş. Without that choice, the plan would compress two journeys into a crowded sequence of transfers.

Choose the actual town and beach base

Antalya means choosing between Kaleiçi, Konyaaltı and Lara: old town, pebble beach and sandy beach are different hotel settings. Çıralı gets two nights on the ten-day route so Olympos and the beach are real visits rather than passing stops.

Choose Kaş or Kalkan around harbour evenings, accommodation and your preferred beach. Kaputaş has a long access stairway; Patara combines beach time with a separate ancient site. Kekova takes a full excursion day, with boarding point and landings confirmed beforehand.

Distinguish boat routes and access points

Fethiye and Ölüdeniz occupy different bays. A cruise from Fethiye harbour does not automatically follow the Butterfly Valley route from Ölüdeniz. This guide plans the valley beach by boat; the challenging cliff approach is not a replacement for a missed return sailing.

Dalyan separates the rock-tomb view from the actual Kaunos visit. İztuzu is a protected beach with marked nesting areas and night restrictions. Three nights give river/beach time and the ruins their own full days.

Treat Datça and Bodrum as a separate stay

The peninsula comparison focuses on Knidos, Palamutbükü and Bodrum Castle. Give three to five nights to one peninsula, or six nights to both. The ferry serves Körmen rather than central Datça harbour; its schedule, vehicle space and final road journey all count toward the transfer.

Check timing and total cost before booking

For sightseeing, I would first compare May/June with September/October. This is not a guarantee of cool middays, warm swimming water or cheaper rooms. In summer heat, exposed ruins need a suitable part of the day; boat visits depend on wind and sea conditions too. Seasonal western ferries need checking for the actual travel date.

The route includes a transparent calculation of EUR 2,320 for two adults, ten days and nine nights. It uses assumptions rather than surveyed quotations. International flights, one-way rental surcharges and extra tours are additional. Compare the flight pair, car and accommodation together before allowing one attractive nightly room price to dictate the journey.

Travel planning answers

Turquoise Coast planning questions

Which route fits a week?+

Antalya2, Kaş3 and Antalya1 return night total six nights, with departure on day 7. If arriving in Dalaman, an alternative is Fethiye4 and Dalyan2.

What changes with ten days?+

Çıralı gets two real nights for the beach and Olympos; after Kaş the route ends with two Fethiye nights and departure from Dalaman.

Can Bodrum and Datça fit two weeks?+

Yes, as a separate western route: Fethiye3, Dalyan3, Datça4 and Bodrum3 nights. Omit Antalya, Çıralı and Kaş.

Where does a Kekova trip start?+

Depending on the booking, Üçağız, Çayağzı/Andriake or Kaş, sometimes with a road transfer. Confirm the actual boarding point first.

Is Butterfly Valley an easy hike?+

The cliff approach is challenging. For an ordinary beach visit, this hub recommends a suitable boat from Ölüdeniz with a confirmed return.

Can I visit İztuzu at night?+

Official visitor guidance lists restricted access from 8pm to 8am. Follow current signs and nesting protection markers.

What does the ten-day trip cost?+

The itinerary example uses EUR 2,320 shared by two adults for nine nights, explicitly as an assumption excluding international flights and one-way rental surcharges.
